Wimberley Texas Rom Com - The Merry Wives of Winsor

Rom Com is a relatively new catchphrase for Romantic Comedies, but this Rom Com is anything but new. The Merry Wives of Winsor, penned in 1598 by none other than Shakespeare, is one of the oldest romantic comedies in existence. The story as stated by thisweekinwimberley.com "follows the adventures of a rowdy knight, Sir John Falstaff, as he tries to swindle a pair of wealthy women. Instead, the two end up turning the tables and getting the best of him." The Wimberley players will be performing the famous comedy until July 1st on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2:30.

Our delicious Three course Dinner is served at 6pm and normally wraps up by 7:30 so catching the Saturday evening show shouldn't be a problem. What a great way to add some arts to your next hill country vacation.

Violet Crown Trail

The Hill Country Conservancy recently published updates regarding the Violet Crown Trail. This proposed 30 mile trail system will travel from Zilker Park and come to a loop on the property just east of the Inn Above Onion Creek. Once completed, the southern tip of the trail might actually be visible from our overlook. While it will take many years to complete we are very excited to learn about this exciting news. It will be a great new activity for those coming to visit our hill country bed and breakfast. Austin 360 has some great information regarding the development of this ambitious trail system here.
