4th of July Weekend at Sage Hill Inn

My favorite thing about 4th of July is sitting under that great Texas Hill Country night sky and enjoying the splendor of a fantastic fireworks show, after the warm and busy summer day.  For guests staying with us this upcoming weekend, we have a few recommended events that might add a little pizzazz and fizzle to your 4th of July stay.

Wimberley's 69th Annual Pro Open Rodeo

Starting July 3rd, VFW Rodeo Grounds will be hosting Wimberley's 69th Annual Rodeo. Events include food and refreshments, dancing at Post Hall on Saturday night and a free fireworks display on Sunday, July 6th.

You can find more information and ticket prices here

Independence Day Celebration at Plum
Creek Golf Course

On Friday, July 4th, Plum Creek Golf Course will jump start their Independence Day Celebration with a golf tournament in the afternoon. After the tournament there will be hot dogs and cold drinks, live music by Kem Watts and the Starlight Symphony Orchestra and a beautiful fireworks display that evening, around 9 pm.

You can find out more about the celebration here.

38th Annual Austin Symphony H-E-B July Concert and Fireworks

For those interested in spending the 4th in Austin, the Austin Symphony will be holding a concert and fireworks show at The Circuit of the Americas, starting at 4 pm. They will also be auto-casting the concert online with Majic 95.5, for those who would like to enjoy the concert without making the drive.

You can find more information about the concert and fireworks show here.

Guests who would like to enjoy their 4th of July from the comfort of the Inn can enjoy hiking the Hill Country in our newly redone trails, relax at our spa, cool down at the swimming pool and cozy up around the fire pit, after dinner.

Happy 10th Anniversary to Sage Hill Inn's Innkeeper, Amy Dolan!

We are very excited to announce the 10th Anniversary of our Innkeeper, Amy Dolan. Amy has been here through some very important milestones: from the small 9 room start-up,
our recent change in owners and our transition to a 15 room inn and spa. Amy has been here through it all, working hard and pulling all of her efforts and kindness to make sure that every guest that comes through the Inn's front doors is greeted with a smile and world-class attention during their time away. In all my years of experience here, I've never seen anyone be more attentive, detail-oriented and inviting.

Amy's philosophy is that we have the best guests in the world and we've been lucky enough to have our guests trust us with their very important down-time. Everything from the moment when they walk through the front door to the moment our guests leave has been carefully and thoughtfully anticipated, from fresh cookies, pool towels, chocolates in the room, sunscreen available for the guests, the one-on-one concierge service for planning local day trips and even mint laid down for your tea at dinner. And while everything done here at the Inn is a strong team effort, our direction and support comes directly from Amy.

As a visiting guests of the Inn, I'm sure you all have your own stories and experiences with Amy, during your stay here. We welcome you to leave your favorite experiences here with us and we hope you will all join us in congratulating her on her 10 years of dedication here at Sage Hill Inn Above Onion Creek!
