Sage Hill Inn Road Trip Bluebonnets, Gardens, Beehives and More

It’s a spectacular time of year to take a drive through the Texas Hill Country.  The bluebonnets are here, but only for a window for time! Drive out for lunch or dinner at Sage Hill Inn and visit our beautiful vegetable garden that serves our restaurants every meal.  We’ve got plenty of kale, radishes, beets, carrots….even edible flowers. We’ve just planted our greenhouse tomatoes in the garden so they’ll be ripe for the pickin’ in time for Chef Autumn’s summer menu. Our Flow™ Hive Full Reveal beehives arrive soon so fresh honey will soon be available!  Click here and check out what’s in store!

Austin's 2016 SXSW Festival Arrives!

This weekend marks the kick off of Austin’s annual SXSW. What began in 1987 as a long weekend music festival, has grown into ten days of film, interactive media conferences and music festivals. The inn is booked this weekend, as many of our SXSW guests like to escape the bustle of the city and unwind for the evenings in the hill country. However, some Austinites like to escape the crowds and congestion during the ten day festival, opting for a rest and relaxation at Sage Hill Inn. There are still a few rooms open for next week and next weekend, March 18-20, but they are going to move fast so call Chris at the front desk and make your booking soon!  We'd love to have you and there's some beautiful weather ahead of us!

Spend the the New Year in the Texas Wine Country!

From Austin to Fredericksburg, there are now more than two hundred wineries in Texas with many of the wineries offering tasting events and premium tours. Fall Creek Vineyards, Driftwood Estate Winery and Salt Lick Cellars are all within 30 miles of Sage Hill, providing the perfect way to spend an afternoon while enjoying your stay at Sage Hill.

Don't want to leave the Inn? As you may know, toward the end of last year we received our wine & beer license and now feature a selection of wonderful Texas Hill Country wines, a few of our favorites from California, as well as some specialty craft beers like Solid Rock Dauntless IPA, Shiner Bock, Shiner Blonde, even cider from Austin East Ciders.

Selections from our beverage list pair beautifully with many of our menu items, including our artisan cheese plate prepared by Chef Autumn. Enjoy your beverage of choice fireside in the restaurant or relax on our front porch and enjoy a glorious Texas sunset!
