The Texas Hill Country Welcomes Warmer Weather with a Smile
The Texas Hill Country is welcoming the first glimpse of Spring. The beloved bluebonnets have started blooming near German-settled towns full of historic sites, galleries and wineries and of course, Sage Hill Inn, with miles of hiking and biking trails to explore, including the “overlook” which sits atop a cliff side eighty feet above Onion Creek.
Travelers looking for a reasonable drive to a mild winter escape will appreciate the convenience of Sage Hill, located smack dab in the middle of the Hill Country Wine region with more than five wineries within a 20 minute drive. Barbecue lovers can opt for dinner at Salt Lick BBQ, only fifteen minutes away or visit the San Marcos Outlet Malls for an afternoon of shopping, about the same distance away.
Of course there’s plenty to do at the Inn. There’s a a bocce court, washer boards, and two horseshoe pits, as well as a large outdoor fire pit which is perfect for relaxing under the stars. Sage Hill also features over three miles of hiking trails that run down the cliffs, along the creek, and around the property. The scenic trails are great for a morning walk or run!
